Barbara Amsden Obituary
Barbara A. Amsden, of Tullahoma, TN, passed this life on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at her home at Morning Pointe Assisted Living at the age of 87. Mrs. Amsden was born in Mt. Kisco, New York to the late Clarence and Myra Sumner Buell. Although she was born in New York, she spent most of her young life in Trumbull, Connecticut. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Connecticut for four years. She then worked at Bridgeport Hospital as a tech in the blood lab for thirty years before retiring. She was a natural caregiver and was an amazing mother and grandmother to her daughters and grandchildren. Mrs. Amsden was an active member of her church, Nichols United Methodist Church, in Trumbull, Connecticut and devoted her life to the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Amsden was preceded in death by her husband, George Amsden; grandson, Ben Davis; brother, Donald Buell; sister-in-law, Janice Buell; and partner, Anthony Forni. She is survived by two daughters, Andrea (Allan) Davis and Myra (Sheila) Amsden-Fish; grandchildren, Hayden Amsden-Fish, Tim (Abby) Davis, and Diana (Travis) Davis Duwe; great-grandchildren, Amber Davis, Landon Davis, plus an additional great-grandchild on the way; and four stepchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Nichols United Methodist Church in Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree, give to the charity of your choice, or make a donation to Nichols United Methodist Church in Trumbull with an emphasis on their youth program. Kilgore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Andrea and Myra. Not sure if you remember me. I used to work with your mom at the hospital. She had a baby shower for me at your grandma's house. I have never forgotten any of you. May she RIP with the Lord. See you tomorrow. God Bless.
