Patrick Delaney Obituary

Patrick Delaney
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness we announce that Patrick M. Delaney, recently of Chagrin Falls, OH, passed away suddenly on November 7th, 2024 at the young age of 58. Patrick was predeceased by his mother, Denese Delaney (nee Stepkoski) and his father, Joseph James Delaney, Jr., and brother, Joseph James Delaney, III. He was a loving father and husband; he cherished his wife, Aileen, and his son, Ryan Patrick. He is survived by his sisters, Linda (Delaney) Corbo and Jennifer (Delaney) Pagliaro; sister-in-law, Veronica (Mirabile) Gillis; brother-in-law, Michael Mirabile; mother-in-law Margaret Mirabile; and he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat loved sports, and loved people. He put his son Ryan on skates at a very early age, and Ryan is now a high school junior, playing hockey for his high school. He also passed on his love of golf and fishing to Ryan. He was a champion for all of Ryan's teammates and friends. Pat was a loyal friend to all and would do anything for someone in need. He was loyal, kind, and compassionate, and loved his family and friends deeply.

Our prayers go out to Patrick and his family. I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. Patrick's brother Joseph was one of my best friends and I have dozens of memories of a young, shy, blonde, curly haired kid that kind of just snickered at the stupid things that Joe and I did. He was quiet but very likable. I didn't know Patrick post his formative years but I would guess he had a kind heart from his mom and his sisters and a strong will from his dad and his brother. I am so sorry Linda and Jennifer for you and the entire family. Patrick probably lived a great life and has a beautiful legacy in his wife and son and I pray for their peace and happiness forever. At such a young age Patrick had so many more years to enjoy his life and that saddens me as well. I am so very sorry and wish I could make the services but Atlanta is a long way from Ct. Please know I am praying for you!! rip

I am so sorry to the Delaney family to hear the loss of Pat. He was a very kind young man when I knew him through his brother Joe, and Joe's friend Jeff. Always polite and respectful to me. I pray that Jesus is with his family through these hard times.
