Albert Touché Obituary
Albert Enrique Touché, 95, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, his beloved wife Rita by his side.
Born on October 13, 1929, in Monterrey, Mexico, Albert spent his early years in Mexico City with his parents, Carlos and Aurora Touché, and his older brother, Carlos. At age 12, Albert moved with his mother and brother to Tucson, Arizona-a city he would come to call home for the rest of his life. He formed friendships at Tucson high school that lasted a lifetime.
Albert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service, he joined his father in Buenos Aires, Argentina, working in business before returning to Tucson. In 1957, Albert and his friend Carl Mills founded Mills-Touché, the first men's clothing store located out of downtown Tucson. The store thrived, eventually expanding to Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix and to multiple locations across Arizona.
Albert was a passionate and accomplished golfer, winning numerous titles and competing as a proud member of the US Senior Golf Association. He was a devoted member of the Tucson Country Club for over 70 years, serving as its president in 1975.
Albert's greatest joy and fulfillment came from his family. From the moment he met Rita-the love of his life-he knew she was the one he would marry. They shared a beautiful, devoted marriage of 66 years. Together, they built a home full of laughter, love, and unwavering support.
Albert was a deeply loving and proud father to Paul, Ann, and Philip, always ready with guidance, encouragement, or a perfectly timed joke. His grandchildren-Maria, Shane, Carlos, and Brook-were the lights of his life. He never missed a chance to cheer them on, brag about their accomplishments, or simply spend time listening and laughing with them. His joy only deepened with the arrival of his great-grandson, Vincent, whom he adored.
He had a gift for making each member of his family feel uniquely loved and valued. His legacy is one of strong values, generosity, and humor-passed on through the stories, traditions, and memories he created with them.
Albert is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Touché; his stepmother, Zulema Touché; his mother, Aurora Grauman; his stepfather, Samuel Grauman; and his brother, Carlos Touché.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Touché; his children: Paul Touché (Anne), Ann Carroll (Ray), and Philip Touché; his brother David Grauman (Beth); his sisters Monica Touché and Patricia Maillard (Arturo); his grandchildren: Maria Barone (Brent), Shane and Carlos Carroll, and Brook Touché; and his great-grandchild, Vincent Barone.
Albert will be remembered for his warmth, wit, generous heart, and the deep love he shared with those closest to him. His memory lives on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every life he touched.
A mass for Albert Touché will be held Saturday September 13th, 12:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Church. A reception will follow the mass at Tucson Country Club.
