Alex Yanez Obituary

Alex C. Yanez May 27, 1920 - October 6, 2007 Preceded in death by wife, Rosa Yanez; brothers, Jesus and Arturo. Survived by sister, Esther Yanez; sons, Johnny (Olivia), Alex Jr.; daughter, Alice (Ross) Newton; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alex started working at a young age helping his stepfather support the family. He started trucking poultry and had the chance to work with his son, Alex Jr. trucking cattle from Tucson to El Paso. After serving his country in the 78th infantry, Alex became form setter for the Cement Masons Local 395. Alex will be missed by all his loved ones. Thank you to Saint Mary's ICU and Hospice. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, 204 S. Stone Ave. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 13, 2007 at St. John's on Ajo, burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
