Alfred Dojaquez Obituary

DOJAQUEZ, Alfred "Freddie", 78, resident of Sonoita, Arizona peacefully passed from this life at home on May 17, 2010. He was born on April 10, 1932 at Gardner Canyon and grew up in Sonoita. He joined the Army in 1949 and was honorable discharged in 1955. He was a lifetime VFW member, post 6885, Canyon Country, California. He retired from ITT Gilfillan in California in 1990 after 34 years of manufacturing engineering. Preceded in death by his son, Mark Dojaquez; his parents and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Delores Dojaquez; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and David Gastineau, Newhall, California, daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Randy Joseph, Kennesaw, Georgia, daughter, Dr. Katherine Dojaquez, Silverton, Oregon; two brothers, Henry Dojaquez, Sonoita, Arizona and Albert Dojaquez, Arivaca, Arizona; one sister, Minnie Kunde, Elgin, Arizona; six grandchildren; Lauren (Kyle) Maschner, Daniel (Cheryl) Paiva, Kaela Pavia, Annalyse Joseph, Karissa Paiva, Gabrielle Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Paiva; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Patagonia, Arizona. Internment service at 3:00 p.m. at Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona with military honors.
