Alvin Lowe Obituary

Alvin William "Bill" Lowe passed away on March 3, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1923 in Washburn, Wisconsin and graduated from Washburn High School in 1941. Bill served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) before enlisting in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Bill was the oldest of three children of Melvina (Lamoreaux) Lowe and Alvin William Lowe, Sr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marlys (Lowe) Lindsey and brother, George Lowe and by his loving wife of 59 years Genevieve "Gen" Marie (Casanova) Lowe. Bill and Gen were married in 1954 in Stillwater, Minnesota. They resided in St. Paul, Minnesota for many years, where Bill worked for the U. S. Postal Service. After often coming to Tucson as snowbirds, Bill and Gen set up permanent residence here in 1990. Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews, his goddaughter, Patricia "Patty" Price (Daniel) and many other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
