Alvin Richardson Obituary

Alvin Scott Richardson Sr., aged 88, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on October 27, 2024. Born on November 6, 1935, Alvin dedicated 26 years of his life to serving in the Air Force, a commitment that showcased his patriotism and discipline. Following his military service, he continued to serve his community through his work at the Pima County Assessor's Office for 20 years.

Alvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Velma Carlene Richardson, his brother Herbert Richardson, and sisters Eunice Richardson Brummall and Barbara Jean Harris. He leaves behind a legacy through his sons, Alvin Scott Richardson Jr. and Phillip Keith Richardson; granddaughters, Christine Carlene Richardson and Nicole Janeese Richardson; and great-granddaughter, Aleksah Tanay Menefee.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, at 8 a.m. at Brings. Alvin's life was marked by his unwavering service to his country and his community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Alvin was my mentor and friend when I first started working at the Assessor's Office. He had a great sense of humor but was always professional in his job. I think about him a lot since I still use the knowledge, he gave me and the confidence to do it. For me his missed but not forgotten.
