I was Charlie's administrative assistant in the mid-1980s when we both worked for Bell Technical Operations' SSE division on Tucson's northeast side. Charlie was a kind and generous man, and he and Jessie were a lovely pair of sweethearts. He was always sharing updates and pictures of Jessie's current artwork and we were so proud of her exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art. It was during that period that she did the ceramic piece of him as the Padre. I have one of her ceramics on my living room wall which was a gift from them both. My sincere condolences to Charlie and Jessie's family for their great loss.

Deepest sympathy to Charlie's family. He was a true gentleman who was loved and highly respected by the Northminster congregation. For many years, his cheerful demeanor and ready smile as a Northminster usher brightened the narthex as he welcomed countless parishoners. He and Jessie were unfailingly kind and thoughtful to me, especially after my late husband's tragic death. I counted him a caring friend. He will be both remembered and greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. Suzy and I were so glad that we were able to meet Mr. Charles at Chad and Jennifer's wedding. He was a very intelligent man with so much knowledge. We will remember him and his family in our prayers. God Bless.
