Dr. Hetrick was one of my professors in the Nuclear Engineering department at the University of Arizona. I regard him as one of my best professors. I last saw him at the 50 anniversary of the U of A Triga (initial criticality) in 2008. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hetrick family. Dr. Hetrick was my thesis advisor at UofA back in 1989, and was forever patient and encouraging in my studies. I consider myself one of the lucky students to have been taught my such a great teacher and a great man. Thanks Dr. Hetrick.
