Delia Franco Obituary
Delia (Dee Dee) Franco was received by her Lord, Jesus Christ on November 7,2025. Dee Dee was at her beloved home with her husband and son. Dee Dee was an absolute inspiration of strength and faith to her two wonderful children throughout her entire life. The happiest time of her life was the arrival of her two children. They were her main focus. She made sure their wants, needs, and ambitions were always met. She strived to give them the best educations and would always encourage them to pursue their dreams. Dee Dee graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1970. After graduation she attended Pima Community College and was employed by the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation as a playground attendant. While working as a playground attendant she met her future husband. There was an instant bond between them that lasted forty nine years. Dee Dee and her husband would care and support each other throughout the ups and downs for their marriage. Dee Dee chose to pursue a career in nursing and attended the University of Arizona. She graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing. She passed her Nursing Board exam and received her registered nurse certificate. Dee Dee was hired by University Medical Center immediately after receiving her R.N. certificate. She was there for several years working in the pediatrics section of the hospital. At some point, Dee Dee decided that Labor and Delivery was her true calling and applied at Tucson Medical Center she was immediately hired. She loved this more than anything she had ever done before. Helping moms deliver their new babies was a thrill for her. She would come home joyful that she was able to assist in the birth of a new life. Although, Dee Dee loved what she was doing in O.B. at TMC, she made the decision to pursue a Masters of Science Degree from the University of Phoenix. This was while she was working in O.B. Attending classes at night. She was continually looking to advance. Dee Dee graduated with a Masters of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner on August 31st, 2009. She was extremely proud of this major accomplishment. Dee Dee then switched career paths to work in pain management. She was hired by a pain management specialist. She fell in love with this new medical work. She wanted to help people that were hurt and in terrible pain due to some unfortunate event in their lives. She felt that this was her true calling. Two years later in 2012, she opened her own medical clinic and named it Millennium Health and Balance. She proceeded to hire a qualified staff to help run her new love. Her clinic almost immediately began to grow. Dee Dee connected with her patients on a personal level. She didn't view them as just patients but as friends in need of help to endure the physical pain they were in. She would sympathize with their problems and try to help them overcome their pain. Her patients loved and admired Dee Dee for her medical ability and her compassion. She loved to take trips, go to the movies, go to the live theater, go out for breakfast on the weekends. Reading books was also one of her passions. She loved the latest novels, as she was a veracious reader. Her children and grandchildren's birthdays were extremely important to her. She always wanted to have a big celebration and special gifts for each of them. Holidays were her favorites, especially Christmas. Buying gifts for her husband, children and friends was a priority. It gave her immense joy to give. Dee Dee is survived by her husband George Ross, daughter Christianna Parsons (Bill), son Ricardo Ross, and two grandchildren. Dee Dee was extremely faithful to God and believed he would care for her when the time came. There is no doubt that she is with God and watching over her friends and family.
