I have already signed the guest book on August 31st, however, I just read the beautiful write-up that Robin did for her father and wanted to let her know how very special it is. Written with so much love and affection for someone very near and dear to her heart. Thank you, dear Robin, for giving us a clearer picture of your father from someone who knew him better than most. He was a giant among men, a caring and giving man, and someone people were proud to call friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Keith and your mother. Please give her my love. She was my sweet friend back in 1968-1973 when we were neighbors on Wheatridge.

My sincere sympathy to Eddie's family that I never had the pleasure of meeting. Eddie and I were neighbors long ago - his family on the north side of the Rillito River, my family on the south side. We both attended Amphi schools, class of '55, and I was so pleased to see him at one of our class reunions and so proud to know that one of my classmates went to Stanford. Fond memories of an unforgetable classmate. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Sparks Family:
Dr. Ed Sparks was a true beacon of light, hope and integrity to me during my college days and beyond. Together we shared the brotherly bond of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity where achievement was the expectation. Dr. Sparks always offered encouraging words and inspiring challenges to do more and be better. For that I am eternally grateful. May he rest in peace and may the comfort of our Lord embrace each of you during this time. He is and will always be missed.

Dear Vertie and Robin,
I am so sad to hear of Ed’s passing. He was such a charmer, but with no falseness about it. His eyes just brimmed with affection and warmth. I will also remember him as a wonderful repository of Tucson history. I loved hearing his anecdotes about life in the old neighborhoods. Please know that you are in my thoughts during this sad time.

It has been many years since I lived on Wheatridge Drive (1968-1973), but Verde and Ed Sparks were my neighbors a few doors down the street. Ed was my children's dentist. My name is Laine (was Foell) North. Ed and Verde were wonderful neighbors and swell friends. Over the years, I have forgotten the names of the children. Robin comes to mind for their daughter and there was a son. My children and the Sparks' children spent a lot of time together. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ed's family and friends. God bless his memory.
