Esquipula Papuyo Obituary

Esquipula Jose Papuyo 76, of Tucson, died Wednesday, February 9, 2010. Preceded in death by his former wife Evelyna (Mary) Papuyo. Survived by his wife, Petra; children, Joe Papuyo, Theresa (Ramon) Cuestas, Merle Papuyo, Janis (Phillip) Gamez, Dennis Papuyo, Michael (Nowal) Papuyo; stepchildren, Guillermo Sandoval, Carlos (Rosa) Arias and Luis Arias. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Papuyo served in the US Air Force at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base retiring as a Master Sergeant. After his military service he was employed by Raytheon for 15 years. A funeral mass and rosary will be held Friday, February 12th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, with Rev. Jim Hobert officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday February 11th, 2010 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle Rd and W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Monica Catholic Church, 212 W. Medina Rd., Tucson, AZ 85706 would be appreciated. www.evergreenmortuary-cemetery.com

I am so sorry to hear of Pap passing away I worked with him for several years at Hughes. I went to his retirement party. he made my day at work and made it a pleasure to work with him. always making us laugh and helping out.
