Fayette Hoyt Bassey

Fayette Hoyt Bassey 91, who was born January 20, 1923 in Norwood, MA, died peacefully at home with family present and joined Jesus Christ in Eternity on October 13, 2014. So sweet was Fay, always sharing her lovely smile. Fay is preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Bassey, Jr. (1993); her niece, Mary McCoy, and was the last of her family of six. She is survived by children, Don (Louise) and Joy Hager (Richard); grandchildren, Justin (Liz), Alissa Hager, Nicole Trumbo (Dillon); great-grandchildren, Cody and Max; sister-in-law, Helen Hoyt; brother-in-law, William O'Connor and nine nieces and nephews, along with their grown families. Fay grew up in Walpole, MA, loved Big Band Music, had a BS Degree In Dietetics from the University of New Hampshire, lived in MI most of her life moving to Tucson in 1990. She lived her last few years under the loving care of Desert Haven Adult Care Home in Tucson, with Agape Hospice giving aid her final year with us. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd St., Tucson, AZ 85710.
