Filippa Saraniti Obituary
AGE: 94 Toms River
Filippa Saraniti, 94, of Toms River, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her home, with her family by her side. Born in Agira, Italy, Filippa lived in Sicily, coming to the U.S. in March 1956, where she lived in Newark and Toms River. Filippa is a parishioner of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River.
She is preceded in death by her husband, in April 2004, Nicolo. She is survived by her sons, Salvatore and his wife Sharon Saraniti of Vero Beach, Fla., and Joseph and his wife Maria Saraniti of Tuckerton; her daughter, Rose and her husband Fernanando Mauceri of Ocean Gate; grandchildren, Benedetto (Robyn), Phyllis (Robert), Nicholas (Tori-Lynn), Shelley Ann (Ellen), Phyllis (Christopher), Stephanie (Albert), Joseph (Katie), and Daniela (Michael); and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10 at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, Bayville. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. In lieu of flowers. donations may be sent in Filippa's memory to Deborah Heart & Lung Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
