Though the years pass dear George, you are in my mind and heart. I was blessed that the Lord chose you for me for a short period of time but it was my honor to know you. I have never found anyone to cut my hair with such a gentle touch you didn't even know your hair was being cut. Save a chair for me so we can chat as before when I get to God's kingdom. Rest in Peace always
P.S. only wispy bangs

Although I have known for a week and attended his memorial service, I am still completely bewildered by George's death. He is one of the kindest, most caring persons I have ever known. He always had a sympathetic ear for my troubles, though his own were far worse. His genuine care about my daughter and her illness was touching and true. I can't get him out of my mind, though I know he is not here. He is and will always be with the angels.

I remember visiting St. Ambrose Church after finding out my mother was dying. My husband and I walked out and behind us was George. He was also visiting. He hugged me and said everything would be all right. What comfort he brought to my broken heart. We grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same schools. Graduated together. George was special and he was so much fun to be with. Made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. God Bless you all.

I was so sorry & shocked to hear this news. I will miss his presence but always remember him in my heart. One day while sitting in his chair, I began to cry thinking about the deterioration of my mother & my fear of losing her. I will never forget his words to me..."Instead of thinking about her death & the sadness it will bring, think about the happy times, the memories & how lucky you have been to have had her for so many years".
Thank you George!
I love you,
Adrienne

George cut my hair for 30+ years. We shared many philosophical conversations, laughs and heartaches over the years. I watched him care tenderly for his mother. I saw him through a couple relationships until he found his true partner, Ron. George found new joy and new focus. George went through so much in the last few years - I went through cancer and chemo. We always seemed to go through tough times at the same time - maybe because we're the same age. George was a deeply spiritual person who leaves behind a sense of calm that will help Ron and his family get through this difficult time. God speed.

I was so sad to learn of George's passing. All day I have been thinking of George, growing up next door to each other. So many memories, washing our cars together out front, macrame back in the '70's, playing marbles as little kids!! Chatting as adults when we would see each other. Rest in Peace

Dearest George,
Your passing has left a blank spot in my life that no one will ever be able to fill. You brought us all so much joy and laughter. Even though I know you are in a better place it still hurts for those of us left behind. Until we meet again I will keep you and your strength in my heart. God Bless all your family and friends in during our time of grief at your passing. I love ya mister !!

George cut my hair for 25 years. Over those years, he became a favorite and most respected friend. His dry sense of humor had me laughing so much of the time! His stories about Lila, in particular, would have me doubled over. He was a brave and gentle man, who unfailingly cared for his invalid mother until the day she died. I believe, he was in pain much of the time, but no one would ever know, because he never complained, always had a smile on his face, and exuded gratitude for his blessings. I feel so blessed this man touched my life, and my very deepest sympathies go out to Ron and the rest of George's family.
