To "Gene's" Family,
We were families on East Pennsylvania Ave., and shopped at Walter's Market while growing up in that neighborhood. He and his family always treated us all like family and want to offer our condolences. We were so lucky to have had such a caring "neighborhood (family) market" Thank you for your caring ways.

I will always remember Gene, with the most fondest memories as a child in his
market.Once I went into the store and accidently dropped a Coke and some glass cut my leg. Gene, had me sit on the counter and he bandaged me up.
Later after moving back to Tucson as an
adult I walked into the store and he still was as kind, and still had that smile.

I remember as a child my parents taking us to Walter's Market for our weekly groceries. No matter what area we lived in Tucson, my parents still drove to buy groceries at Walter's Market. Tucson has lost a very generous and kind man. He made a very big impact on Tucson.
