Herminia Romero Gantt

1931 - 2025

Herminia Romero Gantt passed from this world to her heavenly home on September 18, 2025 at the age of 94 in Tucson. She was born July 2,1931 in Nogales, AZ, the youngest child of Juana and Andres Molera and grew up in Tucson on Meyer Street.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ralph, her parents, her son Frank Roy, granddaughter Veronica May and her brothers and sisters: Ernest, Steve, Henry, George, Andres, Dora, Armida and Helen.

She is Survived by her sons, Ralph and Paul (Karen); her daughters, Anna-Marie and Myra Gaudet (John) and grandchildren, Mark, Derek, Luke, Clarice, John C. and Jacob. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great-great-grandchildren.

Herminia met and married her husband Ralph in Tucson in 1950. From there she traveled the world with her husband and growing family. She lived in Montana, The Philippines, Delaware, Colorado, Okinawa Japan, California, Texas, Germany and North Dakota. She raised 5 children during this time, returning to Tucson upon Ralph's retirement from the Air Force in 1971. They spent the next 50 years together, until Ralph's death in 2021.

Herminia was able to travel to many places in her lifetime including Paris, Holland, Rome, Medjugorje and the Holy Land.

While living in Tucson, Herminia was very much involved with Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic church, its Ladies Guild as president and member, volunteer and as a eucharistic minister. There she shared a deep faith and love for God and Jesus Christ with her husband and family.

Visitation/Rosary will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1810 S. Kolb Rd. Interment will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, 2151 Avenida Los Reyes.
