To Katie; I was checking the obits in the MNJ paper and saw Jacks. I am the next door neighbor on Shepard Road when we were growing up. Oh what fun times we had - still the memories of my childhood and all that shared that time still and will always bring me HAPPY memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Michelle, Craig,Kate & family

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Our condolences to you on your loss

Michelle, Craig, Kate and family

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Jack and I were Shepard Road neighbors . I still have vivid memories of playing 'ditch' and 'kick the can' on summer evenings at his home. He was a good childhood friend. Roger D. Haring

To Kate and the family:

My sympathies and condolences to you all. I will miss him not only for his handball, movie reviews, but his insight into UofA softball. He was an oasis in the desert with his wit and charm.

It was "like a slice of heaven" is the way Jack would say as we would leave the handball court. He was a pleasure to play with and against on the handball court. He had a good temperment and a particularly witty sense of humor.

However, his movie reviews were something else! It was always a hoot to discuss why he enjoyed a particular movie and why I did not. It was fun to debate, argue and generally antagonize each other. He will be missed.

And finally, I used to enjoy the story he told about my putting him in a headlock one day, and the next day he had neck surgery! He certainly knew how to lay on a guilt trip on me.

I am glad that he is no longer suffering from the disease that took him. I pray for his acceptance into heaven and that his family recovers from his passing. God Bless you all.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
From your loving daughters
