James Malliet Obituary

James D Malliet 75 of Oro Valley, AZ died following a long battle with cancer on March 13, 2009. Born April 1, 1933 in Fairmont, Minnesota to Nickolas and Viola Malliet. He was a 4th Degree lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 4549. He was a member of the Citizens Volunteer Assistants Program (CVAP) with Oro Valley Police Dept. Surviving family include his wife, Carol Hamill-Malliet. Sons, Douglas, Daniel, and Dominic. Daughters, Jean (Bill), Jennifer (Donald) Kryskowski, Julie (Duane) Malliet-Nowak, Jackie (Mark Tiedt) Malliet, Jill Malliet, Jerilyn Malliet, Jodeen (Brian) Waelti, Jamie Malliet. Stepsons, John (Linda), David (Mina) Hamill. He is further survived by 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. Sisters, Muriel Malliet, Alice (Ron Strom) Malliette, Helen Hillmer, Marilyn Malliet of Fairmont, MN. James was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Janel Malliet-Blake, daughter-in-law, Barbara Malliet, and brother, Robert. Memorial services will be March 16, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Santa Catalina Roman Catholic Parish at 14380 N. Oracle Rd, Oro Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Casa de la Luz Hospice.
