Edith Kelley Obituary

EDITH WIENINGER KELLEY MILBRIDGE - Edith Wieninger Kelley, 82, passed away Sept. 28, 2008, with her family surrounding her. She was born April 1, 1926, in Milbridge, the daughter of the late Curtis and Lillian (Jones) Robinson. Edith spent her entire life in Milbridge working with her husband, Frederick "Fritz" Wieninger, in the family business, Fred Wieninger Monuments of Milbridge. She was an active member of Eastern Star in her earlier years and member of Milbridge Congregational Church Choir. Edith is survived by a daughter, Peggy Chipman and husband, Merton, of Birch Harbor; three sons, Fred and wife, Marie, of Cherryfield, Michael and wife, Belinda, of Milbridge, and Peter and wife, Wanda, of Harrington. She also has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews, with a special niece, Cathy Chipman of Milbridge. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Edythe Robinson. She will be fondly remembered by her extended Kelley family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred; and her second husband, Robie Kelley. She was also predeceased by brothers, Everett, Richard and Robert Robinson; sisters, Agnes Tinker, Juanita Drisko, Lucretia Morse, Evelyn Newenham; and an infant sister, Julia. She was the last survivor of nine children. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge. A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Milbridge Congregational Church, Bridge Street, Milbridge, with the Rev. Dr. Eric Kelly officiating. Burial will be after at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge. Peggy and family,
I want to let you know how much we enjoyed caring for Edith. I will miss her wit, smile and the love that she gave so freely. She was a part of our family her at Narraguagus Bay and has left a big hole in our hearts.
