Janet Chaman Obituary

Janet Ann Chaman 62, of Sierra Vista, AZ passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at home. Janet was born on April 13, 1945 in Harbor Beach, Michigan to the late Leland Hazel and the late Frieda Gerstenschlager Hazel .She was raised on the family farm and attended Harbor Beach public schools. She proudly graduated from Harbor Beach High School as class Valedictorian in 1962. She then went on to Detroit, MI and attended the Harper Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1965. She worked as registered nurse in Michigan, Japan, New Mexico, Tucson and Sierra Vista, AZ. She retired in 2000. Janet is survived by husband, Rick Chaman; daughters Kathy Chaman of Sierra Vista, AZ and Julie Chaman of Tucson, AZ. Other survivors include her sister Eilene Hazel of Troy, MI, four nieces and nephews. As per her wishes she will be cremated and memorial services will be held at later date. Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the HOSPICE of Sierra Vista Regional Health Care Center, Sierra Vista, AZ; Humane Society of So. AZ. and Tucson, AZ or to the charity of one's choice. Assisting the family is HATFIELD FUNERAL HOME, Sierra Vista, AZ.
