I was dating Jimmy, when I first met Jesus. Jim's truck needed Jesus' "magic touch" to repair it. Jesus and his wife Elva, drove to Huntington Beach, California, to my mom's house, where they worked on the truck. Jesus later told me that on that visit, he told Elva, "That's the girl Jimmy is gonna marry. I don't know when, but THAT is the girl he's gonna marry. I can tell that he loves her." Jim and I were married within 3 years. Jesus told me this story and it was very touching. Jim and I have now been happily married for 24 years. We have a 22 year old daughter, Venessa, and a 20 year old son, David. Jesus was proud that both are in college. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing your son to join the Navy, bringing him to California. I will pray for you, as I do for my own father and mother. May God comfort your 3 sons. Your Daughter- In-Law, Vivienne Torres

I am truly blessed to have had my Tio Jesus in my life.He was a very special person that I will never forget. He accepted me as one of his own when I would visit my cousins Manny,Micheal and Jimmy during our childhoods. Some of my favorite memories were with my Tio.For the last few years I would visit my tio and take him out to lunch and it would be the highlight of our trip to Tucson. He would make me and my wife laugh till our sides ached.I was blessed to have seen him one last time about a month ago,and our last time together was a blast. After we dropped him off,my wife turned to me and said she felt like she just had lunch with The Mexican Don Rickles. What I loved most about my Tio is he lived his life on his own terms and for that I had great respect and admiration for him.Your smile, wit and humor will forever live in our hearts.Until we meet again,God Bless and this Buds for you Tio.

Torres family,
I am so sorry to hear that Compadre Torres has passed away. He was my Dad's compadre and we have wonderful memories of him and his family. I especially remember those old vehicles he used to restorel, gosh they were beautiful (especially that beige/brown pickup truck). I remember him telling me that he if I wanted he would drive my friends and I to the prom in one of his "vehicles." He will always have a special place in our hearts. Elva and sons, may God give you the strength to go forth, and remember without God life is harder.
With love and respect,
Tonita Limon and family
