I was not aware of Joe´s death last year. We were neighbors for quiet a few years and our boys were best friends. Joe was such a great guy and teacher.

Mr. Hamrick was a wonderful biology teacher at Sahuaro High School in the 1980's when I had him as my teacher. Kind and patient.
My prayers go out to the family during this time.

Joe Hamrick was our neighbor on Collette Street when I was a student at Palo Verde High School in the 1960s and he was teaching biology there - before Sahuaro High School was built a few blocks from our homes. We were on double sessions because of school crowding and Mr. Hamriick and I were on the early shift. I think we started at 6 a.m. He was kind enough to give me rides to school for a while - there was no school bus service where we lived. He was a gracious, generous man whose kindness I have never forgotten. My deep condolences to his wife, children and their children.

Mr. Hamrick was my neighbor on Colette Street and biology teacher at Sahuaro High School. He was an outstanding, patient and superb teacher and a great person. I still remember him mentoring me through class.
They do not make teachers like Mr. Hamrick anymore. Mr. Hamrick was a class act!

Dear Mrs. Hamrick and family- I was sad to learn of Mr. Hamrick's passing. You are in my heart and prayers as you grieve. Mr. Hamrick was my biology teacher in the early 70s at Sahuaro High School. I remember him being knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I always loved biology, on into many college classes, and think he must have had a hand in that.
