Giving prayers and thanks to your whole family at this sad time. Your Mom and grandmother was a sweet, vivacious and lovely woman who made the community a better place. She helped her husband be able to accomplish so many things - she did more than hold down the fort. She lifted barriers and helped people be their best, contributing in so many ways. Losing her means she gets to be with her first luv, your Dad, and your brother Scott. Heaven isn´t heavy, it´s lightened up with her laughter, her presence. Dear Joni, Mark, Dave and Kim, and to the grandchildren, I give you my deepest sympathies. Hang on to family traditions. Share her favorite quotes, relish in her favorite foods and keep her gifts alive. ITB Joni. Love, Shanon & Tim

In August 1983, we stood at Bergen Airport and waited anxiously for Ivar's cousins from the United States to arrive. Lila with her husband Lauren and her sister Irene, wanted to see where their ancestors came from and visit living relatives in Norway. For us, this was the start of a long-term friendship. It also inspired our daughter Torill to a year as a US exchange student, which also included visits to Lila and Lauren in AZ at Christmas 1987. In 1988 and 89, we also met a warm welcome with them in Arizona. We admire their ability to cope with both success and adversity. Even though Lila is now gone, we still have clear memories of a kind and energetic lady who drove around in Cadilac with her own name tag. But first and foremost, we will remember her as a dear friend, who wanted the best for her family and friends. Peace over her memory.

Lila was a beautiful woman with an amazing spirit. I was fortunate to get to golf with her from time to time. She was most engaging and interesting and fun. She clearly adored her family...you were blessed.
