Linda Triplett-Posmituk Obituary

Linda Triplett-Posmituk November 26, 1948 - July 16, 2005 Former longtime Tuolumne County resident Linda Triplett-Posmituk, died July 16, 2005 in Modesto, CA at her daughters home after a short battle with cancer at the age of 56. She was born in Oakdale, CA and graduated from Sonora High School. Linda was retired after working for Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, AZ in Administration and lived in Tucson for 21 years. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and founded the first Hepatitis C support group in Tucson June 1995. She came home to her beloved California in March to spend time with her family and lived in Modesto at her daughters home until her death. Linda loved her family, friends (Colleen, Jackie, Sandi and her sister-in-law, Barbara), snorkeling in Hawaii, traveling, volunteering, sewing, crafts, her home and gardening. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Gordon Edward Posmituk of Tucson, AZ; a son and daughter-in-law, Alfred Anthony (Tony) Linn and Mary Linn of Tuolumne, CA a daughter and partner Michele Triplett and Dolly Turney of Modesto, CA; brother, Gary Inman Triplett and partner, Bessie of Redmond, OR; grandchildren, Wyatt Turney and Amanda Joy Linn; uncle, Alfred Lemel Triplett of Redmond, OR; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Posmituk of Qualicum Beach, BC. She was preceded in death by her father, Inman Junior Triplett in 2002 and mother, Hazel Eleanor Triplett in 1992. A private family life celebration was held at her daughters' home in Modesto, CA. Donations can be made to American Cancer Society, Modesto Firefighters Widow and Children's Fund and Doctors Medical Center Cancer Center.
