Marie Smith Obituary

Marie A. Smith went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2007. Marie was born in Liverpool, England on June 16, 1933. Marie married Charles Smith of Walton County, Georgia on July 10, 1954. She spent 21 years supporting her husband who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. They raised their children in a religious environment. Marie spent 27 years volunteering her time at Davis Monthan Air Force Base Hospital and Chapel, where she always had a smile and kept everyone laughing. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Charles; brother, Thomas Watling of Runcorn, England; six children, Donna (Gary) Hicus, Charles (Cindy) Smith, Susan (Jim) Neer, Deborah (Aaron) Branch, Lynne Smith and Sandra (Brian) Lineberger. Marie also left behind nine loving grandchildren, Charles, Heather, David, Andrea, Tonya, Alex, Skyler, Cory and Ashlynn. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. We Love you Mom! Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb. In Marie's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

I remember Marie standing in as proxy for my confirmation sponsor when I was just a kid. I will always remember her laugh and sense of humor. She was a good friend to both of my parents. She and my mom will be laughing once again together in Heaven.
