Michael Ebert Obituary

Michael Leroy Ebert was born to parents Claude and Martha in Modesto California on June 10, 1942, and sadly left us on March 20, 2024, at the age of eighty-one. Mike served his country in the US Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd and experienced duty assignments in many countries, including Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis and at the German "Iron Curtain" East/West divide. Mike attended The University of California at Berkley and Indiana University, receiving his Undergraduate degree from Indiana. Mike was proud of achieving athletic challenges including boxing matches while in the Navy and running the original marathon route between Marathon and Athens, Greece. He was also an avid hiker and was familiar with Tucson's most challenging trails. Mike proudly called Tucson home for more than 50 years. Owning Trident Commercial Real Estate for many years, Mike served as its Broker and was passionate about serving his community in many other roles, including leadership positions of organizations such as the Boys Scouts of America, the Civitan Foundation, The Pima County Republican Club and his beloved Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club.  Mike is survived by his sister, Monica Ebert, and grandchildren Michael Ebert and Meagan Jenkins. They, and his extended family and many friends, will always carry his memory in their hearts. Committal services will be held at 10am on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N. Luckett Rd, Marana, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Veterans' Cemetery Foundation at www.avmc-foundation.org or to your favorite Veterans service organization.

Michael and I had a personal relationship for about 4 years. Every minute spent with him was special from cooking, playing scrabble, dancing in my living room, sitting on the back patio smoking a cigar to vacation trips. I often laughed until I cried. He got me and I him. I subsequently moved to Oregon and lost touch, something I always regretted.
I loved you Michael and a part of my heart always will. We will meet again soon

Sorry to hear this news. Mike was a great character in the commercial real estate industry. He was straight forward to a fault.....his brain was always going 100 mph. I have a great memory of him at my house on the border. Fun stuff. A great veteran. RIP Mike

Mike was a leader in Tucson's business and political communities. He also boys to become men through years as a Boy Scout Troop leader. As President of the Civitan Club, he helped support the Special Olympics As a person, Mike was a patient, loyal and dependable friend who would open his home or provide a meal to help a friend in need.
The world was a nicer place with Mike in it.

I knew Mike in his retirement when he was Chairman of Pima County Republican Club. He was the kindest man you could ever hope to meet. He chaired the club with great aplomb, was always dependable, and treated everyone with respect. I missed him when he retired from chairmanship, and am so sorry to hear of his passing. I send my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Sherrylyn Young

To Mike's family & friends, I am very sorry to learn that Mike is gone. I lost touch with Mike some years ago. He was at my wedding reception in March of 1987. I found two photographs in my album that I copied with my cell phone camera. I enjoyed knowing Mike for the years that we were in contact, particularly in the Civitan Club we both belonged to. He was a fellow real estate broker. Vaya con dios, mi amigo, Miguelito.
