Michael Guyette Obituary

Michael Jon Guyette 56, formerly of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully in Tucson, AZ, on Sunday, September 2, 2007, in the presence of his loving wife, Joan and son, Henry, after a brief bout with cancer. Michael was born in Fond du Lac, WI, on April 7, 1951, the third child to Paul Richard and Mary Ann Elizabeth (Wilson) Guyette, both of Fond du Lac. He graduated Appleton East High School. On May 22, 1971, Michael married the love of his life, Joan Schneider of Appleton. In the footsteps of his grandfather, Joseph Wilson, Michael aspired to the level of Master Tailor and worked with his family at Guyette's Ltd., serving the Appleton community for over ten years. He especially enjoyed buying trips to New York and learning every aspect of the fine clothing business. Then, after moving to Tucson, he continued to practice his trade in other fine clothing stores in the area. Michael had a heart of gold and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends - especially Friday night fish fry. He loved all sports -- boating, fishing, football -- always a Packer backer. He also took special pride in coaching his son Henry's baseball skills, starting at age three with T-ball. Michael was always there for his son, and never missed a game. Michael is survived by his wife, Joan and his son, Henry; his mother, Mary Ann Elizabeth (Wilson) Guyette (Sun Prairie, WI), and his brothers and sisters: Peter (Appleton, WI), Julie (Chicago, IL), Paul Thomas (Martinsville, WI), Mary Guyette-Gerth (Milwaukee, WI), Anne Eisch (Neenah, WI), Philip (Newbury Park, CA) and Joseph (Sun Prairie, WI). Michael is preceded in death by his father, Paul Richard; his brother, Mark and his sister, Christine Harris. Michael will be dearly missed by all and remains always in our hearts and prayers. Private memorial services in both Tucson and Appleton will be scheduled at a later date. A memorial fund is being established.

Joan,
I just learned of your husband's death. My heartfelt sympathies to you and Henry. I remember how you would come into my office and we would talk about the two loves in your life (Mike and Henry).

For Joan & Henry
It's hard to give you as much support and caring as I'd like when we live so far apart.
More than anything
I WISH I COULD BE WITH YOU NOW..
to listen if you feel like talking, to go for a walk or to a movie, if you feel like doing something to get your mind off what's going on.
More than anything
I WISH I COULD BE THERE FOR YOU
to give you a warm hug or to help you find things to lighten your spirit, maybe even make you laugh.
But even though I can't be with you now,
I hope my caring can cross the miles that separate us
and fill a special corner in your heart with peace.

Always Remember-
Memories keep those we love
close to us forever...
