Michael Nester Obituary

Michael Nester Born June 11, 1947 in Maryville, Tennessee passed away in his sleep July 19, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona. He is preceded in death by parents, Dr. Murlin Nester and Mary Ellen Fife Nester. Michael was a student at Sunnyside and graduated from Bisbee High School. He joined the Navy in 1965 and married Patricia Little in New Jersey. He was a Philadelphia Teamster and worked for BEST. He was a member of MENSA; America Legion; the NRA; a Constitutionalist and supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. Michael is survived by: sister, Cynthia Nester Watters; niece, Andrea Watters and daughter, Charlotte; nephew, Adam Watters and family; brother, Murlin Nester and children, Kathy, Mark, Shari and families. Michael's children: Daniel, Meredith Schilling, Krystal and Max; grandchildren, Charlie, John, Timothy, Miriam, Beatrice and Jack; paternal family from Black Forest of Germany and East Tennessee relatives. He wished his ashes be scattered at sea in a Naval ceremony. A Memorial bench will be installed at South Lawn Cemetery.
