Dear Salvagio Family-

I am sorry for your considerable loss.

Mike and I worked at desks close to each other at the City of Tucson in 1997. His picture in the newspaper really jumped out at me since that is the smile he almost always had. I overheard his conversations with subordinates and I never heard him raise his voice or lose his temper, though I know he had a lot of challenging work going on.

After he retired, we had a chance to do a little work for him at the Memorial Garden. I am sure that Mike will be remembered there, so I am glad we could be a small part of the great things he did there.

I know that family and God guided Mike and his care for others was always evident. We will all miss and remember him. Though I can't be at his service this Saturday, I thank you for sharing him with us.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike when he was at COT Operations and I was at TPD Communications. He was an honorable man who worked diligently to ensure the City's efforts were focused on providing the best service possible to the people of Tucson and Pima County. I always appreciated his insight and willingness to help. He will be missed.
