ONOFRE DE LA OSSA Obituary

The family of the late ONOFRE DE LA OSSA would like to express our most heartfelt thank you to the many people who offered such love and support. The sacrifice that so many made to attend and help with services in Lochiel, offer assistance with the ranch, dedicate events in his honor, offer Masses and prayers on his behalf, donate to the scholarship fund, and the many other gestures are all recognized and appreciated by us. Thank you for sending cards and writing notes of precious memories and thoughts. We have shared these around the dinner table and gained additional admiration and gratitude for his life. All of these symbols of love give us strength to endure the days ahead as we think of our lost loved one and help to fill the void we feel. With our warmest regards! –Maureen De La Ossa and all the family

Jennifer Stephens AKA: Little Lupie

October 18, 2012

He never called me by my name. I was "Little Lupie"... he knew it made me mad. I remember when Audra and I were little, he would never let her come out to play until I either played the piano or "sang opera" for him. I was so shy and embarrassed I would always stall or try to talk my way out of it, while Audra gave me the "will you just get it over with so we can go play" face. My tactics never worked, though. He would end up calling Alan or Adam over for added pressure. He won every time. I once sang "America the Beautiful" for a chance to milk a goat. Thanks, Alan.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He was a wonderful man who will always have my respect.
