Patrick Swatts Obituary

Patrick Swatts, 81, a retired glazier, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born in Hammond, Indiana to Polish immigrants, Patrick embodied the American spirit. His father, a watchmaker by trade passed on an appreciation for time pieces. As a favorite hobby, Patrick maintained this interest, collecting and tinkering with watches and clocks throughout his life. As with his time pieces, he applied attention to detail to those family and friends around him. His sociable and kindhearted nature was always supportive and welcoming towards others. To know him was truly to love him. Pat served in the US Army as part of the Military Police Corps. In concurrence with his military duties, he served as part of a security detail at the White House for former first Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Following the Army, he continued his professional interest in law enforcement serving as a law enforcement officer in various capacities. Since 1991, Pat provided glass and glazing services as owner of Professional Glass & Maintenance. Passing by in the car, he often highlighted windows and automatic doors that he had repaired and installed at residences and businesses throughout the Tucson area. Energetic by nature, Patrick actively worked late into life until pneumonia and COVID-related complications adversely impacted his standing with health. It is with great love, we send him on to his next adventure. We hope he finds an open door, a time piece to fix, and continues to watch over us with his caring eye. He will be greatly missed by his wife (Sharon); daughters, Lisa (Rob), Annette (Dave), and Tammy (Richard), seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
