It is amazing that I found this on line tonight. I haven't seen Fr. Pete since the day he was ordained at the cathedral in Providence. I was a very young child then, but I was so moved at his ordination. I was just recently thinking about him as it was the anniversary of my Dad's death, and he would have been be one of my Dad's last living cousins. My Dad was very proud of him. I hope they are in heaven partying together. My condolences to all his loved ones.

I am very honored ( though saddened ) to be making this statement. I & my deceased husband ( Arthur Charles, Jr.) had been members oF O.L.O.F Parish for many years. Fr.s church was quite new at the time. I was honored to be part of the bingo workers, Choir Member many years & faithful workers. It was nice to tweek his arm if he was talking to others & continue on. He looked forward to it. What a PLEASURE it was to have known him. I lost my dear husband Art & now am Mrs. Ruben A. Guerra, of Benson, Az. Violet L. Guerra

Fr. McGloin was an amazing person and priest. I am honored to have known him. I began attending Our Lady of Fatima as an infant & was lucky to have received all of my sacraments but baptism from Fr. McGloin. I remember when my husband & I were engaged back in 2000, Fr. McGloin would joke with me & tell me to hurry up & set the date because he may retire soon. He knew how much I wanted HIM to marry us & he did. What I loved the most about Fr. McGloin was his dedication and appreciation towards his parishioners. He was always there for you when you needed him & he was always grateful for what you did for the church. My only regret is that our daughter did not get the chance to know such a remarkable man.

Father McGloin married my husband and I over 35 years ago in the home that he rented for over 3 decades from my father, James McNally. My father died a year ago and I was so grateful to Father McGloin for giving my father his last rites at hospice and his memorial service. Father McGloin was not well at that time and performed the services in a wheel chair. I think he knew that it would have made my father very happy.
You are now at home with the Lord.
Our condolences to all of Father McGloin's friends and family.

My former husband and I were part of the original group that started Our Lady of Fatima parish along with Father McGloin. Our daughter was among the first to make her 1st Communion and another daughter was married there by Father McGloin. Truly a very understanding man with much insight into the human nature.
I do hope he was still enjoying an occasional golf game in his retirement. Gods blessings to all his loved ones/

My husband and I started attending Our Lady of Fatima in 2004 close to the end of Father Mcgloin's preisthood there. We met him at one of our Fiesta's and he was a pleasure to just sit and chat with, We are glad we got the opportunity to meet and know him just for this short time.
May God Bless you his family and loved ones at this time that our Lord has called him home.
Sincerely,

To the family of Fr. Peter McGloin,
We had the pleasure of knowing Fr. McGloin through his ministry at Our Lady of Fatima parish. He was a wonderful pastor to us and our children. His progressive attitude was refreshing to experience in such a long serving priest. He was a good and faithful servant to his people for many years. We still remember him with fondness and love. May God bless you and help you through this difficult period when you will miss your loved one so much.
Sincerely,
John and Teresa Sharpton
