Richard Gottlieb Obituary

Richard Marvin Gottlieb Longtime Tucson resident, Richard Marvin Gottlieb, an artist, storyteller, WWII veteran and lover of life, died December 3, 2013 at age 89. Dick made friends easily, never met a stranger and never lost his sense of wonder. He enjoyed gardening, history and was fascinated by medicine. Dick was born in Cleveland, Ohio, November 30, 1924, and after HS, he attended Ohio State and remained a loyal Buckeye fan. He also attended Notre Dame for officer training and proudly served his country during WWII. Dick is survived by his children, Caryl (Bruce), Bill, Joanne (Art); grandchildren, David (Leigh Anne), Ben, Katie, McIver (Monica), Kasey (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Carson, Penny, Jake; brother, Kenneth; nephews, nieces and many others who loved him deeply. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tucson Humane Society of S. AZ. Condolences may be sent c/o The Fountains, 2001 W. Rudasill Rd., Tucson 85704. A brief Memorial Service is Thursday, December 5, 2013, 4:30 p.m., at the Fountains.
