Nearly a year has passed, and I know the grieving continues at a very personal level for those who knew and loved him best, his children. Still, I hope there has been healing along the way, and that you all will continue to share the gift that your dad was in your lives.

His calm friendly way, the things he did for us after George's health problems, his perspective and knowledge on so many subjects. Words cannot express how we will miss him. A dear couple we enjoyed over many a cup of coffee and dessert. We cherish his memory and the footprints he has left on our hearts.

Blanche and all of the family: Our hearts go out to you and your loss. I too feel a loss, he was one of my favorite uncles. The smile, his eyes that crinkled when he laughed and my fondest memory are the cheese sandwiches he made for us on our way back to St. Louis when we were just children. (about 1/2" thick). He will be missed. Remember, the Lord is with you let him comfort you. With much love, Mary Ruth

To the family of Dick, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Linda and I met your father and mother at the Arizona Roamers camping club.
I found your father to be a soft spoken gentleman who was enjoyable to visit with and to be around.

Chuck, Joni, and Richard: You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Though I haven't seen any of you for years, I can still see all of your faces when we grew up in Crystal. (Therefore, you all still look very young!) God's healing peace to you and your families.

Dear Joni,
Although I have never met you and I never met your Dad, I feel that I know you very well via Margot. I am so sorry for your loss that words cannot begin to express it. Please know that you are in my thoughts and in my prayers. I am sure that you know that your Dad is in a better place now and I hope that you can find comfort in that knowledge. My sincere sympathies to you and your family!!!

Richard was a very dear friend. We spent many hours camping with he and Blanch. We will especially miss visiting with him, having coffee and eating out.

Joni,
For 46 years I've been honored to know your father. I loved his sense of humor and gentle ways. He put those around him at ease and always welcomed them to his family. His smile and laughter will be with me forever. Love,

Joan P.,
Though I only met him a couple of times and spoke to him on the phone a few times, I would gladly claim your dad as my second father. He was such an easy-going man, so generous with his warmth and comfort. You are your father's daughter in those ways. I grieve the loss of him, but his essence lives on in you. My deepest condolences to the entire family.
