Thinking of you Judy with fondness and compassion. Now a widow too, I understand the pain and the irrepressible love of grief. I miss Bill every day and imagine you miss Dick as well. He was so dynamic.

Judy:
My sympathies for your great loss. Please let me know how I can support you now or in the future.
I truly enjoyed meeting you and Dick at the Colorado I Have A Dream foundation where I have been a board member 24 years. Once, Dick and I had a wonderful dinner together where we discussed, in great detail, the future of CIHAD, Ed Yardeni's Book "Predicting the Markets" which we had both recently read, and the Bronco's search for a new quarterback post-Elway.

Again - Please do not hesitate to ask if I may be of support.

Sincerely,
George Flanders

Just heard of Dick's death. Although the years took us further and further apart, the memories of the times we shared during the 1950s and 1960s seem closer to me everyday. He was a loyal, caring friend and someone with whom you could always count on for assistance or simply great advice. Deepest condolences to Judy and the rest of Dick's family. MAY HIS MEMORY BE A BLESSING.

I was shocked to see Dick´s obituary in the Omaha paper. Although we have had few contacts over the years, I continued to think of Dick as a special friend. We shared much at the Sammy House of course. Judy, do you remember the evening that you and Dick baby sat for Gail and me in Omaha ? You were learning about diaper changes etc. I offer my condolences for your families loss; he was one of the good guys

We recently received lovely notes from Dick telling us how much our parents meant to his family. We were just kids and Dick and his brother Norm were our friends. We share many fond and funny memories with them. Dick remembered some of these personal moments being just a few years older and recently shared them since we lost both parents in the last part of the year. To his family: We are so sad for your untimely loss. Susan and Faye

Dick was a wonderful and caring person. He was a strong supporter for the UNL debate team and a dedicated alumni. His passion for helping others and advocating for the causes he believed in was inspiring.

Dick was one of the great lawyers in the illustrious history of Kutak Rock. He was creative and innovative, hardworking with seemingly irrepressible energy, and he (along with John Musselman and Steve Huff) mentored an entire generation of younger lawyers (of which I was lucky to be one). He was then instrumental in creating MBIA, which dominated the municipal bond insurance industry for a very long time. He held a number of senior executive positions with that company during his long career, and was also involved with many nonprofit and charitable enterprises. In short, Dick was brilliant and I was so fortunate to know him at various times in his life. My deepest condolences to Judy and his family.

I met Dick and Judy at a reunion for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Speech and Debate team, where they met as students. We connected via their caring and incredibly bright humor. Dick and I talked periodically over his commitment to the activity and students. My heart goes out to Judy and their family. May Dick Rest In Peace and his memory be a joy to their family and friends.

Toasting Dick with Chateau Neuf de Pape that concluded our study sessions. What a brilliant lawyer, terrific Dad, wonderful husband and lively friend we've lost. Surrounding you Judy and family in love & prayer.

So very sorry to hear Dick passed away. I have always thought fondly of him (and Judy) from the old days at Kutak Rock. You could not ask for a kinder gentleman thank Dick. Both he and Judy are, to me, the essential definition of caring and kind people and the world needs more of them right now. May God bless and comfort his family at this time of sadness.
