Robert Miller

Robert Miller JR passed away surrounded by his children in Tucson after a short illness and one day after his 88th Birthday. Bob was born in Rochester (Oldest of 3) and grew up as a farm boy and athlete. He married his college sweetheart and completed a master's degree while raising 2 children in upstate NY. Bob taught P.E., Science and History in N.Y and here in Tucson at Safford and Townsend. Coach Miller was a mentor and trainer to countless basketball and soccer players and captured a couple city championships and undefeated seasons along the way. He enjoyed traveling immensely and he spent his later years enjoying Europe, all of the US states and served as a campground host. Bob volunteered as an elderly companion, at church services and Palm missions well into his 80's. Private services were held at Evergreen Mortuary and Bob's family encourages that remembrances be left for Coach on their website.
