My Dear Fran,
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you and Bob.There has never been any two people in my professional life that I have looked up to or admired more. He was the best teacher one could ever hope to have. Those of us that were blessed enough to have him cross our paths as our mentor, are blessed with a beautiful and rewarding career in the funeral and cemetery business. First rule he taught me: Do not lie to me or a family. What ever it is no matter how bad it is we can always fix it. You lie to me I can never trust you, to the family the business can't trust you. You need to find a new career. That's the only rule you have to remember and you'll do just fine! To this day 22 years in the business I live by his words. I miss him. I have a picture of you two on my kitchen garden window next to my families pictures. Daily I see you and verbally
say thank you for the guidance and friendship.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Bob. Fran, as you know I was there when it all started between you two! I have such wonderful memories. Bob taught me so much, not just about the cemetery business, but life itself. He was one of the most honest and straitforward person I've ever known. I am a better person for having known him. He will be missed.

Fran,

My thoughts and and prayers are with you and your family. I have many fond memories of both you and Bob. The finest memory and quality I can remember about Bob was no matter what part of the country he was in, or who he was with, he would always make a comment at the end of the day by saying; "I need to call my sweetheart before I head to bed". You were always on his mind and in his heart.

God Bless.

Bob Motzkin is on of the finest men that I know. I had the pleasure to know him as a professional, as a close friend and a brother in Christ. I have no idea how many miles we traveled and work together to help make our company be the finest in the world, but it was a one heck of a ride. Both of us were passionate about our profession and believed that cemeteries should be for forever. Sometimes we would debate the best way to do something with great passion and heat but it was never personal and afterwards we'd have drinks together and talk about our families.

When Bob was at Mountainview he used to check on my Grandparents' graves from time to time. One day he found my grandfather Troxell's memorial damaged and Bob called me to say he wanted to replace it. I was greatful for his concern and kindness. When I thanked Bob said "just doing my job"! Wrong, Bob Motzkin never "Just" did anything. He always strove for excellence! And that is what he will continue to do in Heaven!

Bob must be so happy to see his precious daughter Julie and his father Harry again. We will miss you Bob but know you are looking watch out for Fran, Matt and the rest of the family. Bob, please do the same for the rest of us too!
God Bless you Bob!
