There are no words that can explain how I feel. I will miss talking to you on the phone. I will miss visiting with you on vacation. There are many wonderful memories, but I wish we had more time to make even more memories. I am glad you got to see two out of my three children. Megan only knows of you in pictures. You will be missed every day. But I also know you are in a better place with grandma. I will always have you in my prayers. I will always love you and think of you often. You were a wonderful grandpa. I love you so very much.

Its so hard to say goodbye,
when I don't want you to go.
Life replaced with memories,
for only you and I to know.

Pain replaced with sorrow.
Empty feelings within my soul.
The tools that you have left me,
my children, they must know.

That life is short and fragile.
Fulfill it to the end,
with truth,love and kindness.
The way that you have been.

You've taught me well, my father.
It's only now I see.
I must pass along this knowledge,
that you have given me.

When I think of you, Dad.
I will not cry.
I'll remember your strength,
I'll remember your pride.

I'll remember your wisdom,
that I long for so much.
I'll remember your smile,
I'll remember your touch.

My children will know,
that the lessons they learn.
Were passed from my father,
only out of concern.

So I won't say good-bye,
its to hard to say.
You rest quietly now.
You've shown me the way.

I love you Dad.

Today I will say goodbye to one of the best men I have ever known in my life. I will miss my papa so much! We had so many great conversations over the phone! Papa would always tell me that I didnt know about anything and that I need to watch the news more often, but I always had him there to fill me in on whats going on in the world. I will miss his weekly calls very much. I know he is very happy now in heaven with my grandma but he will be missed down here by everyone! I love you so much grandpa and I will see you again. And remember SMILE!, I will everytime I think of you!

I dearly miss my one and only Grandpa Spross. I have so many fond memories of him ever since I can remember. He's been involved in my life since the day I was born in 1975. Grandpa would call me at least three times a week. I was trying to replay in my memory our last phone conversation on Thursday, October 25, 2007. We always talked about our day, weather, my family, and of course, sports. We would always tell each other how much we love one another, and how much he misses my husband Micah, and his two grandsons' Cole and Tobin. Even though my Grandpa is gone, there will never be a day where I haven't thought of him. When the phone rings, I am still expecting Grandpa on the other line asking how his favorite Grand-Daughter is. And he would always end with, "And remember....smile." I am so thankful to have all my memories of him that has touched my life in so many ways. I will always cherish our relationship in my heart. I will make sure that my two boys grow up knowing who their Great-Grandpa was, and someday, telling them the stories he told me. I love and miss you Papa so much, and I know I will see you and Grandma again one day in heaven.

We lived in the same neighborhood when we were all kids. We lived around the block in the 2 story house. Bob was one of my older brother's friends and was always nice to the "little sister". We had good times. I remember watching some killer monopoly games the older boys played. I'm sorry to hear about his passing.
