Roberto L. Ramirez

Roberto L. Ramirez born on April 30, 1957, passed away June 24, 2006. Preceded in death by mother, Connie F. Ramirez; father, Robert (Bobby) Ramirez. Survived by brothers, Gus and Oscar; sisters, Lisa Ramirez and Sylvia (David) Herrera; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Alyssa and Davey Herrera; loving and best friend, Delfina Alvarez; aunts, Nellie Rivera, Gloria Martinez, Belen Ramirez, Alice Flynn, Olga (Carlos) Pelayo, Pinky Wimberly; uncles, Gustavo (Alice) Lopez, Robert Lopez; many, many, cousins and extended family members. Graduated from Cholla High School (75) and Pima Community College. Roberto worked for Pima Community College, then at La Frontera, where he was active with the Annual Mariachi Conference. Roberto loved music, especially mariachi, and dancing, particularly with his folklorio group. He was an excellent baker who created and made many beautiful cakes, mainly wedding cakes for lots of family and friends. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at 4:30 p.m. St. Monica's Catholic Church,, 6665 South San Fernando Road. Rosary at 5:00 p.m., Memorial Mass at 5:30 p.m. Reception to follow at 7:00 p.m. at El Casino Ballroom, 437 East 26th Street.
