As a clerk for many years at TMC I remember Dr.Murphy to always be kind and pleasant. Never was any anger or disrespect shown to anyone. His sense of humor would brighten any day. My condolences on your loss.

Heaven needs doctors to guide, from the Spiritual realm, those doctors here on Earth in the material world. So Dr. Murphy's work will continue!

In addition to being a good doctor, "Murph" was very sharp and entertaining individual. His wry sense of humor showed the rest of us how clearly he understood the ups and downs of life. I hope his last years were comfortable.

Dr. Murphy treated my mother, Margaret Finn, for many years. Mom had a stroke when she was 62 yrs, leaving her hemiplegic for the rest of her life, and she lived until she was 81. I now live in NC, and one day in 1986 I got a phone call at my office from a woman caring for mom, to come immediately to Tucson. Being an MD myself, I had no way to drop everything and go to Tucson except under the direst of circumstances. I phoned Roland and told him my predicament, and he made an exception for my mom and went to see her at her residence. He immediately assessed a serious situation and wisely called an ambulance to hospitalize her. Of all things she was suffering from pronounced dehydration. He got her back in a state of improved health, and she was able to return home. Mom passed about a year and a half later, but I will never forget Roland for his kindness and willingness to go out of his way for my mom. May God bless Roland and welcome him to Paradise. Thank you again doctor!

I remember Dr. Murphy from my early years in Nursing at TMC, in the 1970's-'80's. A lovely man, excellent physician. May he rest in peace.
