Rosemary Luke "Posy" MORGAN

MORGAN, Rosemary "Posy" Luke, died peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Posy was born in Troy, New York, on May 4, 1930, and grew up in Mechanicville, New York, and Charleston, South Carolina, before attending Connecticut College for her bachelor's degree. Upon graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she began a career with the Central Intelligence Agency. There she met her future husband, Jack Morgan. They married in March 1953 and moved to Mexico City, beginning a fascinating life as American diplomats. After Mexico, they lived in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay and Portugal. Upon Jack's retirement in 1978, they moved to Ponte Vedra Beach and began a life focused on family, friends and community involvement. After Jack's death in 2006, Posy moved to Tucson to be near her son, Peter and his family. Posy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and touched everyone she met with her genuine warmth and gentle spirit. She is survived by her son, Michael (Laurie) and his children, Alexandra and Andrew and stepchildren, Charlie and Henry and son, Peter (Anne) and their children, Katherine and Jack. Posy will join Jack in Arlington National Cemetery. Donations in memory of Posy's remarkable life can be made to the Splendido Scholarship Fund at 13500 N. Rancho Vistoso Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85755.
