Ruth Y. Bravo

Ruth Y. (Cooky) Bravo Was born in Tucson, AZ on January 7, 1932, and our Lord called you home January 10, 2016. Ruth was a loving, giving BEAUTIFUL woman with a heart of gold, with so much faith. Her smile was infectious and warmed the hearts of everyone she met. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first before herself. She loved her days working at Cele Peterson's prior to getting married. Ruth loved being outdoors, watering her plants and her roses, this to her "was like heaven on earth". She loved playing her music for the whole neighborhood, but her ultimate joy was caring for her family. Ruth was a woman of faith and taught her family to always have Christ first in their lives, because with Christ anything is possible. Her words to her family always were "Don't worry, have faith, trust in God." She taught us to always be positive, and to love one another. You will never be gone from our hearts you left a piece of you in each one of us. The day will come when we will meet again, singing to us like you always did. Our angel on earth, now has her wings and is watching over God's garden and will be watching over us from above. She is proceeded in death by her parents Joe T. and Lucia R. Ybarra; brothers, Philip, Joe, Edward, and Ernie (Nellie) Ybarra; sister, Helen (Ralph) Leon. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Alex C. Bravo; children, Lucy Bravo (Roy), Alex (Lisa) Bravo and Linda (Robert) Robles; sisters, Betty (Manny) Galvan, Lupita (Joe) Castillo, sisters-in-law, Jenny Ybarra and Josie Fimbres, and many loving nephews, nieces, and godchildren whom she loved dearly. Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson AZ. Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. St. Margaret's Mary Church, 801 N. Grande Ave. Tucson AZ, Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. In special gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Edgardo Laguillo and his nurse Daniella for the love and care of her health.
