I just discovered this online obituary and was so sorry to hear of your loss, Mel. I will always remember Shirley's warm personality and the way she made me feel so accepted and loved while I was working at AZ Baptist Children's Services and afterwards. I was especially thinking of the two of you while Alpine was burning and prayed your cabins were spared. I so enjoyed my two times staying in your cabin and will NEVER forget your graciousness and hospitality. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I think I can speak for all my 8th grade classmates (Willcox Jr. High School--1962-63) in saying that Mrs. O'Dell will always be remembered and loved by those of us who were lucky enough to have her as a teacher. I remember her as a stern taskmaster, but we all loved her and learned a great deal from her.

Mel, We have remembered the good times we had with both of you many times. Shirley was an inspiration and blessing to all who knew and worked with her. I especially remember her lovely alto voice in our ladies trio. We will remember you in our prayers. Jerry and Betty Hutchison (Urich, MO)
