Sine S. POST

POST, Mrs. Sine S. passed away at age 95, on September 16, 2017 in Tucson, AZ. She passed away in her home attended by loving family members. In keeping with her Danish heritage, a window was opened to let the soul of the loved one to pass through. She was born on August 30, 1922 in Oakley, Idaho to Parley L. and Josephine (Hansen Lee) Scharling. Sine graduated as a registered nurse from Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah and served in The United States Cadet Nurses Corp. during WWII. She married the love of her life, Ernest E. Post, United States Army Air Corp. on July 6, 1944 in Boise, Idaho. They settled in the Binghampton Community of Tucson, AZ, where they raised their family. Sine was a lifelong faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and gave many years of leadership and service. She was a cherished mother and grandmother who enjoyed writing poetry and stories, painting, and sewing for her family. Her family and friends were the joyful recipients of her homemade bread for many years. She worked as an RN in Tucson until the mid1980's. After retiring, Sine and Ernest served full time in the Tulsa, OK, mission for the Church. After her husband's passing, she served a second mission in Salt Lake City. She is survived by her children, Barbara Milo (Ronald) Sonoita; Iva Anderson, Tucson; James Post, Draper, UT; Dorothy Rine, Tucson; Jeanne Gerhard (Gary), Manhattan, KS; Jayne Deskins (Mark), Kearns, UT; Matthew Post, Tucson. Her family includes 27 grandchildren, 51 great- grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren. The Service for Sine will be at the Binghampton Chapel, 3750 E. Ft. Lowell Road, Tucson, AZ. Friday, September 29, 2017. Viewing is at 9:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service thereafter at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Binghampton Cemetery in Tucson. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL.
