This past year has been a difficult one to say the least. Steve was taken from us over one year ago and he is missed immensely. He was a genuinely good person who inspired many botanists and general plant enthusiasts. I continue to draw on knowledge learned from him and like to think he would be proud that is teaching and mentoring have affected so many.

His legacy lives on with all he touched and he will be missed immensely.
