Deepest condolences to you and yours on the passing of a true gentleman whose kindness and integrity inspired countless students to enter the fields of print or media journalism or related careers.
I was privileged to be mentored by Prof. Duddleston. His example of 'getting it right always' sticks with me even today -- over 40 years later.
May you be comforted by the many memories of those he touched through his gentle and sincere grace, dignity and generosity.

My sincere condolences on your father's death. I only met him once, but my father, Steve Emerine, was very fond of him as a colleague and friend. May God grant you peace in your memories of your dad.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the death of your father. I met Tom in August 2019 when I moved in next-door. He was very friendly and welcoming to me. He often offered to help with carrying things to my apartment. He also watched out for me as I would go out after he heard I had fallen in the parking lot. He was a true gentleman. I was pleased to know him and that he was a founding member of the church I belong to. The Episcopal Church of St. Matthew.

We will miss the fine gentleman Tom Duddleston. It is fitting that the last words I heard from Tom were kind and truthful words of praise for an old friend in our lunch group, Tony Tselentis. Tom D defined good friendship, loyalty, a keen intellect and so many other traits that we'll long remember in journalism circles.
