Virginia Crowder

Virginia (Ginger) Pearson Crowder, 90, longtime resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 at her home in Brookline, NH surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her loving husband Christopher Crowder and her parents Chet and Lucille Pearson.

Ginger grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where she met her husband Chris in high school. The couple married in 1955 and moved to Tucson, Arizona where Ginger previously had attended the University of Arizona and graduated with highest distinction earning a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Ginger loved her work and spent over 20 years teaching young children. She and Chris were also blessed with the gift of their own children: Lisa, Brian, and Kimberly. Together Ginger and Chris built an incredible life of faith, love, friendship and service; blessing everyone that came into their lives.

Ginger was the definition of class, quality and true beauty, from the inside out. Her grace, hard work, humor, and creativity were woven through everything she did. She was the quiet strength and stability of our home, making all who came into it feel loved. We miss her profoundly, but rejoice that she is with her Savior and all those that have gone before her.

Ginger is survived by her brother and his wife, Jack and Sandy Pearson, her three children, Lisa (Clive) Jarman, Brian (Kim) Crowder, and Kimberly (Aaron) Koepke, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The family will hold a memorial service Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Desert Skies United Methodist Church in Tucson, AZ (3255 N. Houghton Road).
