Yolanda MANCINI Obituary

MANCINI, Yolanda (Anastasia) passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 while listening to the soothing sounds of one of her favorite vocalists, Johnny Mathis who was singing, "Chances Are". We are certain that 'chances are awfully good' that she is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Al "Elio"; her six sisters, one brother and her parents as well as the many friends and family members who passed before her. Yolanda, who was 91 years young, was a beautiful person in every respect. Never without a kind word, sincere compliment or a ready smile, she encouraged, kidded with, and genuinely loved everyone with whom she came in contact. Known by a variety of versions of her name, Yola, Yoli, Olanda or simply Yo, we are certain that she will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by one and all. A native of Connecticut, Mrs. Mancini lived in Oro Valley for the past 11 years. She leaves behind three children, Lynda Henderson (Tom), Mark Mancini (Rosemary) and Regina Roczniak (Steve); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with one on the way. There will be a Mass at Santa Catalina Church, 14380 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ. 85739 on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate Yolanda's wonderful life. Light refreshments will be served following the Mass. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice Family Care, 6300 E. El Dorado Plaza, Suite A-100, Tucson, AZ. 85715. Arrangements by VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME.

Aunt Yola - while we are sad that you have left us, we all know that at last all of the Anastasia girls (and Uncle Tom!) are together again and you are reunited with Uncle Al. Thanks for always being there for anyone and everyone. We miss you. Say hi to my mom and dad!

So many fond memories. Yola was the example to follow for living the right way. I will not forget her positive, caring attitude and hope she is at peace and with all her friends.

My Dear Sweet, Precious, Loving, Beautiful Aunt Yola. I miss talking to you, I've actually picked up the phone on more than one occasion to call you and then sadly for me reality set in. I know you were ready, I know you are where you want to be and I will find comfort in that. But, I will still cry, I will always miss talking to you and hearing your wonderful laugh. I will miss everything about you but I will always hold the Best memories of You in my heart. I Love you Aunt Yola always.

For many years on Sunday I sat right next to Yolanda at 9:00 Mass, Santa Catalina Church, front row. She was a favorite part of my Sunday morning. Over time she would share with me stories of her childhood and raising her family. She had such a great sense of humor and we would sit there giggling like two little Catholic school girls who should be quiet. Often she would take hold of my arm and say "I love you." I loved her too. Yolanda radiated class and love; she was such an inspiration to me. To the family I send my most sincere sympathy. She blessed my life.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Mancini while driving the van for Oro Valley, she was always so kind and spoke so highly of her children, and her husband. She truly was a joy. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
