Christopher Russell Nelms

1997 - 2015

NELMS, Christopher Russell, of Helena, Alabama, was born April 12, 1997, and died Sept. 4, 2015, as a result of a single-vehicle accident. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Susan Nelms, and sisters, Julianna and Angelina; his grandparents, Fred and Jean Nelms, of Tullahoma, and Raymond Reduce, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Janet Reduce, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey; plus several aunts and uncles. Christopher was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as an accomplished woodsman and horseman. He was a regular attending member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 21 and was recently awarded the Eagle rank by the Greater Alabama Council. His body was cremated and the ashes interred in the Columbarium at the Prince of Peace Church, Hoover Alabama.
